Our Story
Like similar stories, Tote Yourself! has a simple and seemingly benign beginning. For Christmas, Terry's daughter Jenn requested a set of
handmade bags like the one her mother had made for herself twenty years earlier - and was still using. When Jenn showed
off her bags to friends and family, they noted the exceptional workmanship and cute style. "Why aren't you selling those?!"
they asked Terry.
Looking for a way to make extra money, Terry took their words to heart. She began contemplating a design for a bag women would desire. The result was a tote bag, to be offered in two sizes, with a matching cosmetic bag.
Then, with her business experience, Jenn hopped on board to create the brand around the tote. The brand's mission? To give women an alternative to the poorly crafted, identical-in-every-store bags that saturate today's market. To offer them a line of bags that would reflect their individual personality and hold up for years to come.
Recently, due to popular demand, the Tote Yourself! line has grown to include purses as well. So no matter your toting needs, Terry and Jenn are pleased and honored to offer you the ability to Tote Yourself!

Terry - Owner, Tote-Maker
Terry has worked as a retail manager for the past nineteen years. She holds a Bachelors degree in Education - Home Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Terry has always had a knack for sewing and embroidery, which she finds very relaxing. She has three daughters and currently resides in Irwin, PA.
Jenn - Marketing Consultant, Webmaster, Photographer
Jenn is Terry's eldest daughter and is the marketing consultant and webmaster for Tote Yourself! She holds both an Associates and Bachelors degree in Graphic Design from Fairmont State University and designs websites from home. She currently resides with her husband, Mark, in Stonewood, WV.
